how to export? 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello.
Really I don't understand how this works...
How can I export all my texts from joomla 1.0.15 to joomla 1.5.7?
I am trying but I don't find how to do it...
Please, can you explain me everything? Since installation to export, etc?
thank you very much.
Tiago

Please have a look at the screen shots in the left menu of this site.
Also there are instruction in the left menu of Export Content under support.
Which has a quick run down on how the system work as well as instruction on how to use each page.

Basically you would install Export Content version 1.7.0 on the Joomla 1.0.15 site.
And then install Export Content version 2.0.0 on the Joomla 1.5.7 site.

Then on the 1.0.15 site select the section and or static items that you want to move and click the "compile for Joomla 1.5+" button at the top.
You will then be able to download the compiled data.

Then on the Joomla 1.5.7 site install the downloaded data as you would any other extension(component) once installed open Export Content up and you will see it has been populated with the data you have just installed.

You can then move the content into the main content area in a few different ways either by:
Sections and all the content contained in them.
By categories and all the content contained in them.
Or by one or more content items.
Or by one or more static or archived items if compiled.
