I realize the content creator data may not be possible, since it would mean that the site you are importing the content to would at least have to have the same user name registered with it or even the same user ID information in it.

At the very least, though, it would be very good to be able to import the author alias so that there is at least a default content writer.

This should work in the latest beta 1.6 release in all my tests the author alias is imported and transferred successfully.

You're right. I didn't realize this but since the beginning of this component, I have been transferring content from one site to another. In doing so, none of the content that had been previously exported from months back transferred any of this data. Though, with content items originally created on the test site I am now working on within the last few weeks, all the new original content transferred with the user alias.

I'm glad to here that I thought I had missed something.
I've also been looking at the date request and creation dates also should be working.

Yes if there is an author alias included it will be moved along with the content item.
