The component is ALMOST working for me. (g)

I successfully exported the sections, categories and content items from my old site. Now I am trying to import it to a new site, with another domain name.

On the new site, the sections and category names all show up in Joomla's Administrator's Dashboord. However, none of the Content Items show up there. They DO show up in the component's "Transfer Imported Contents" menu.

In the component, if I click all the content items for a Section and Category and then click Insert, the next screen says "This will transfer all the content items listed to the section/category selected." But it does NOT show me the name of the correct Section or Category. In fact, it shows only the default Joomla Sections and Categories. None of my imported ones show up. If I hit "Save," I get an error message saying "Please Select A Section/Category to copy the items to."

Please let me know what I am doing wrong. I suspect it's some dumb mistake.

Thanks!

When trying to transfer by content items you will only have the choice of moving them to the section/categories that are already set-up up on the destination site.

If you want to move the data by sections or categories it will grab everything in that section or category and create a new section/category on the destination site.

Note if you have sections or categories with the same names you will get an error.

To fix this use "edit" and rename the section or category to something else.

I used the "move" command to shove the various sections into categories, and then put the content where it belonged. So I'm all set.

Via PayPa, I have tangibly expressed my thanks for creating a a great component. It is a real timesaver.

Glad to here you are good to go.

I received your suggestion and it sounds like a good idea.
I will give it some thought.
