Hi there,
After searching through the bewildering

number of extensions available for Joomla I found this one and I'm hoping it might prove to be a solution, if not *the* solution, to my problem.
I own and publish a small street press magazine in Australia. I've been looking to improve our publishing workflow and online presence by using Joomla as an online CMS and I'm currently investigating the possibility of exporting content posted to the site by contributors to an XML file format. I would like to then import the resulting XML to Adobe InDesign. Once XML tags are set up in InDesign and mapped to styles I believe I can reduce production time by at least 40%. This would be of enormous benefit to my editor, who is already under constant pressure to meet tight deadlines.
I'm wondering whether this application would allow me to export content on from Joomla, according to a category - say 'CD Reviews', or categories 'CD Reviews','Issue 295' to an XML file with the various info required - CD title, CD artist, review writer, review, etc?
I know there are a number of other smaller print publishers looking to utilise this type of workflow because I've been contacted by them on other forums asking me if I've found a solution. Being able to either import tagged XML to Joomla or the reverse would be an incredible boon for indepentant press looking to stay competitive online.
I tried downloading the component for 1.0+ to have a play, but kept getting a time out error.
If anyone can offer some advice or knows of an alternative approach I'd be grateful.
Cheers,
Scott
