Error exporting 9 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi there,

I have just upgraded my site to 1.5 stable and then I downloaded your plugin and installed it. So far so good. I then went for the Export option and hit the compile to 1.0x button and got this error message:

Error deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/zip/ import_content_data.zipError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ import_content_data.zipError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ install.mysql.utf.sqlError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ install.mysql.nonutf8.sqlError : PCLZIP_ERR_READ_OPEN_FAIL (-2) : Unable to open archive '../administrator/components/com_export_content/zip/ import_content_data.zip' in wb mode

I have no idea what's going on. Any ideas?

This error is because it has run into a problem removing old data.
Try using the remove all button before attempting to compile data and let me know how you go.

I meant the remove all button at the top of Export Content but it seems its not there at the moment check the screenshots in the left menu of this site to see what I mean.
They are of an earlier version but you will get the idea.

Also check permissions on administrator/components/com_export_content/zip/ and make sure it is 777.

Have tried to compile content for 1.5+ if not give that a try and let me know what happens.

Re:Error exporting 8 Months, 2 Weeks ago Karma: 0
I am getting the same errors when compiling data from J 1.51 w/ EC 2.0 to Compile for 1.0+.
Error deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/zip/ import_content_data.zipError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ import_content_data.zipError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ install.mysql.utf.sqlError deleting ../administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ install.mysql.nonutf8.sql

It compiles fine for 1.5, i have also changed permissions on zip to 777...

any ideas, thank you in advance for your help

What happens if you compile for 1.5+ then use the "remove all" button.
After that try and compile for 1.0+ and see what happens.

Also make sure administrator/components/com_export_content/new_version/ is 777

You may also want to check that there are no file ownership issues if your not sure what I mean do a search on the Joomla forums there is plenty of info about it.

Hi Steve,

Thanks, I think that solved. I have it working for all but one section that has 248 articles in it, is there a limit to the number of articles or size that can be compiled?

Export content has no limit but your server would.
You could make another few section/categories on the source site and move your content into them using the copy or move feature in "Content Manager" then move them one section att a time which will get you around the sever upload limit.
