After installing the component successfully on both sites, I went to the import-site and tried to install the compiled files via the JOOMLA INSTALLER -Component: THEN I GOT THIS ERROR MESSAGE: Upload component - Failed Another component is already using directory: "/is/htdocs/wp1076575_S0TPUPIBRS/ www.lixxxxxxx/xxx/components/ com_import_content_data/" Please help needed urgently!

Upload component - Failed Another component is already using directory: "/is/htdocs/wp1076575_S0TPUPIBRS/ www.lixxxxxxx/xxx/components/ com_import_content_data/" The message is saying there is already an import data installed from earlier. You need to uninstall the old one (as you would any other component) before trying to import any new data.

I think you do not understand the issue....how can I uninstall a component that is needed in order to import CONTENTS from another site??????? In order to work with "EXPORT CONTENT" One must install export content on both websites.

I think you do not understand the issue....how can I uninstall a component that is needed in order to import CONTENTS from another site??????? In order to work with "EXPORT CONTENT" One must install export content on both websites. I'm not saying to uninstall "Export Content" I'm saying to uninstall the last: com_import_content_data before trying to import any new data.
